AI Adoption / AI for Departments

Function-specific AI training on the work they already do.

Generic AI training produces people who can talk about AI. Department training produces people who have automated something on their own desk. Each track opens with the workflows that function runs weekly and ends with a shortlist they can act on.

Why function-specific training works
Department AI training is role-based instruction built around the actual workflows a function performs, rather than around the tool.

The gap in most corporate AI training is that skills learned in the abstract have nowhere to land. A finance analyst who practises on a marketing example goes back to a desk that looks nothing like the exercise. Function training inverts that. We start from the reconciliation, the credit note, the shift roster, or the escalation queue that team owns, and the AI skill attaches to a task they will repeat next week.

Who it is for

Five tracks, one structure.

Every track runs the same four-part shape. What changes is the workflow set, the example data, and the systems the exercises touch.

01

Sales and revenue

Account research, call preparation, proposal drafting, CRM hygiene, and pipeline summarisation.

  • Pre-call account briefs
  • Proposal first drafts
  • CRM note cleanup
  • Territory research
02

Finance and accounting

Reconciliation support, variance narratives, policy lookup, and vendor document review.

  • Variance commentary
  • Invoice and PO checks
  • Policy question answering
  • Month-end summaries
03

HR and people operations

Job description drafting, screening support, policy responses, and onboarding content.

  • Role descriptions
  • Candidate screening notes
  • Policy helpdesk answers
  • Onboarding material
04

Customer support

Response drafting, ticket summarisation, knowledge base upkeep, and escalation triage.

  • Draft responses
  • Ticket summaries
  • Knowledge gap detection
  • Escalation triage
05

Operations and supply chain

Exception handling, vendor correspondence, SOP drafting, and shift documentation.

  • Exception narratives
  • Vendor follow-ups
  • SOP drafting
  • Shift handover notes
06

Custom function track

Underwriting, collections, claims, quality, or any function with enough repeatable volume to justify its own track.

  • Built from your process maps
  • Your systems and data shapes
  • Your approval rules

The curriculum

The shape of every track.

Four modules across a half day. The workflow inventory in module one is what makes the rest of the session specific to that team.

What happens
Time
01
Workflow inventory

The team lists what it actually does each week and scores each task on volume, repeatability, and risk. This produces the shortlist the rest of the session works against.

45 min
02
Applied practice on live tasks

Participants work their own top-scoring tasks with an approved tool, with facilitator feedback on each attempt. This is the bulk of the session.

90 min
03
Building a reusable prompt library

Winning approaches get written up in a shared format the team keeps, so the value survives after the facilitator leaves.

45 min
04
Review rules and handoff

Which outputs can go straight out, which need a second pair of eyes, and which must never be automated in that function.

30 min

Outcomes

What each team leaves with.

01

A scored workflow shortlist

The team knows which of its tasks are worth automating first and which are a poor fit.

02

A working prompt library

Ten to twenty tested prompts in the team's own language, ready to use on Monday.

03

Agreed review rules

Explicit lines on what ships unreviewed, what needs sign-off, and what stays manual.

Delivery in India

Built for how Indian enterprises actually roll out AI.

Most of our work runs with banks, NBFCs, insurers, and manufacturers headquartered in India. The programme assumes Indian regulatory context, distributed field teams, and mixed levels of digital comfort across the workforce.

  • DPDP Act and sector regulation built into the curriculum

Sessions cover the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 alongside RBI, IRDAI, and SEBI expectations, so teams learn what they can put into a model before they start using one.

  • Delivered onsite across Indian metros and tier 2 cities

Facilitators travel to your offices, branches, and plants. Virtual cohorts run on IST with recordings for shift-based teams.

  • Designed for field and branch workforces

Content works for relationship managers, collections agents, and plant supervisors, without assuming a desk, a laptop, or prior AI exposure.

  • English plus regional language support

Facilitation runs in English and Hindi as standard. Additional regional languages are arranged for large field cohorts on request.

Questions

What teams ask before they start.

If your question is here in a form we have not covered, ask us directly and we will answer it plainly.

Which departments do you cover?

Five standard tracks cover sales, finance, HR, customer support, and operations. We also build custom tracks for functions with enough repeatable volume to justify one, which in Indian financial services most often means underwriting, collections, and claims.

How is this different from general AI training?

General training teaches the tool. Department training starts from the workflows that function already runs weekly, so every exercise uses the team's own tasks, systems, and data shapes. Participants leave having improved something on their own desk rather than having completed a generic exercise.

Should teams complete AI for Everyone first?

We recommend it. When the literacy baseline is already in place, the department session can open directly at the workflow inventory instead of spending its first hour on fundamentals and data rules. Teams that skip it typically lose about a third of the session.

What is the ideal cohort size?

Between 15 and 40 people from the same function. The applied practice module needs facilitator attention on individual attempts, so mixed-function rooms and larger groups both reduce how much each participant gets out of it.

Do you need access to our internal systems?

No system integration is required. Exercises run on representative examples the team brings, using whichever AI tool your organisation has approved. If you want participants working on live records, we agree the data handling rules with your privacy team beforehand.

How do you keep the prompt library useful after the session?

The library is written in a shared format the team owns, with a named maintainer agreed during module three. We review it at the 30 day mark and prune what is unused, since an unmaintained prompt library decays into noise within a quarter.

Can you run this for teams across multiple Indian cities?

Yes. Facilitators travel to your offices across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and beyond. Distributed functions often run one onsite anchor session per region, with virtual cohorts on IST for smaller locations.
